Investing in property can be lethal, well not really, but it has its inherent dangers, like swimming in infested waters or dancing with the devil.
My recommendation is to select your team wisely. Your mentor, accountant, solicitor, mortgage broker, property manager must all be working for you.
Independently, each adviser must help you bring your property investment plan to fruition and have your best interest at heart. For example, when I’m involved with a client in the sales process I always get them to sign a sale and purchase agreement without me, at their solicitors. Why? This way they get independent, impartial advice at a very important step in the buying process and know that there is no sales influence around at that crucial time.
This works very well for all parties concerned.
